Below is a current review of the MyBookie Sportsbook, a short history of MyBookie , and what you can expect when using MyBookie as your online sports betting site.

Who are MyBookie?

The owners of MyBooke.ag have ties to the old “Bet on Sports” brand. This is a positive thing, and although “Bet on Sports” had reputation for closing accounts winning players, they were also pioneers in many forms of online sports betting.

BetOnSports.com had money troubles prior to the UIGEA passing, which only got worse when their founders were arrested in 2006. Players lost millions as a result.

MyBookie.ag has been in business since 2014.

MyBooke.ag is based in Costa Rica, but rather than just obtaining a dodgy Costa Rica “gaming license” like some of their competitors, instead they have chosen to get their license from Curacao. But, is that any better? Well… at least they had to be a little transparent while going through the process. We wouldn’t bet on the regulatory board being a hell of a lot of assistance should you have a dispute with MyBookie.ag however.

MyBookie are generally considered a good choice for the small-wagering recreational bettor, however if you’re a big bettor, you’ll find higher limits elsewhere.

It’s nice to see eSports represented getting some coverage as it’s becoming one of the fastest growing markets available in online sports betting. As we said, the sportsbook markets are geared towards North American and US markets, with little on offer for international sports, which is a little disappointing.

We didn’t easily find any live betting until we scrolled down to the bottom of the site where they have a link to their in-play markets. They don’t push it too hard because their limited selection – NFL, NCAA Football, NBA, MLB, NHL and tennis markets.

Sportsbetting Betting Limits

It appears that their maximum online wager is $1,000, which is quite low, making them a sportsbook that caters specifically to recreational bettors.

In saying that, the ability to call and bet the entire balance of your wagering account on any market makes them an option for higher stakes players. It seems strange to have a $1,000 max bet online but have no maximum bet limit over the phone.

Some grey area here…

MyBookie.ag’s limits range from $10 to $1,000. This is odd, because most modern day online sportsbooks will take bets as low as $1. While many sportsbooks have lower max limits, they’re usually around the $2,000-$3,000 range…. not the $1,000 on offer at MyBookie.ag..

But exceptions to max limits are available over the phone (again…why we’re not sure). If you have the money in your wagering account, and make your bet over the phone, MyBookie.ag will let you bet without a max limit, unless they peg you as a professional bettor.

What is odd is that it’s not a flat-rate like at most sportsbooks, instead the fees you pay go up the more you cash out. Pretty annoying.

MyBookie.ag only processes payments Monday through Friday. You’ll need remember that it takes up to 48 hours to process a cash out. The minimum cash out is $100 and you have to roll your deposit over 1x before you can withdrawal your funds.
